ADstruc Funding Announcement

We are proud to announce today that ADstruc closed a $1.1M round led by DFJ Gotham.   RRE, Founder Collective, Jeff Clavier, David Cohen, Kal Vepuri, David Tisch and Social Leverage (Howard Lindzon) all participated in the round.  

I have known Mark Davis of DFJ Gotham for several years and he was one of the first people I called when I was contemplating this venture.  We are excited about our group of investors - they bring deep industry insight and contacts that will help us build this company.  This additional capital will enable us to more rapidly enhance our solution and provide even better service to both buyers and sellers of outdoor advertising.

Our ability to raise this capital and be on our current trajectory is in no small part due to the TechStars program.  As we mentioned in our last blog post, our time in the program helped shape our vision for our company, provided us with unparalleled access to resources, and facilitated incredible connections.  Our mentors at TechStars made it clear how important it is to surround ourselves with a strong and supportive group of investors, which we are fortunate to have done.

We will use this investment on our product, marketing, and growing our team, while continuing to support our clients and the outdoor advertising industry. We have many new product features planned that will provide multiple benefits to our clients and help them grow their businesses. We will also aggressively promote our platform and our clients through various mediums including, of course, outdoor advertising.  Additionally, we are working on some special projects with two other awesome startups so stay tuned.  Our focus remains on providing buyers and sellers with the tools they need to do their job more efficiently.  

A little background on ADstruc:  We are an online marketplace for outdoor advertising.  The outdoor advertising industry is a $6B business that operates completely offline. We bring the industry online and give buyers and sellers tools that they simply never had before.  We are going to make buying billboards as easy as buying AdWords on Google.  ADstruc launched on August 5th this year and already partnered with over 100 companies. 

The team has done a fantastic job.  I am joined by Josh Warrum, Sam Herbert and Chris Auffenberg.  Each one of them worked incredibly hard over the last several months and I am fortunate to have such a great team.
